Mayfield Day 2024

Mayfield Day was a resounding success, marking the culmination of another remarkable academic year and serving as a heartfelt tribute to the late Antonia Beary, a cherished member of our school community. The event was attended by over 1200 people, showcasing the strong sense of community that defines Mayfield. It was wonderful to see so many families gathered together, celebrating the school's values and traditions.

The day began with Mayfield - A Year in Pictures followed by a poignant sung tribute to Antonia Beary, a moving celebration of her life and legacy that left a lasting impression on all who attended. You can watch the tribute here.

We were also honored to welcome guest speaker OC Felicia Davy (1994), who shared her inspiring story with our students. Felicia spoke about how Mayfield had played a significant role in helping her achieve her goals and encouraged the girls to pursue their own dreams. Her words of wisdom and motivation resonated deeply with our students, reminding them of the importance of perseverance and hard work.

Following the prize-giving ceremony, we moved outside for a delightful festival-style lunch, where everyone enjoyed good food and company. The highlight of the afternoon was the inter-house sports competition, which saw our houses competing in events such as long jump, high jump, discus, javelin, shot put, and athletics.

Congratulations to Avila House on their impressive win! Their determination and teamwork earned them the top spot, and we're thrilled to see them take home the coveted Mayfield Day trophy.

Mayfield Day was a truly special event, filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of community. We're grateful to have had the opportunity to celebrate another successful year at Mayfield and look forward to doing it all again next year!
