Sr. Anne Murphy SHCJ

I am sad to have to inform OCs and friends that Sr Anne Murphy died in Harrogate on the morning of Christmas Day 2022. A respected academic and Theologian, Sr Anne was better know to many generations of Mayfield girls as a fellow student or as Headmistress and subsequently as Chair of Governors at Mayfield. Her interest in, support of and commitment to Mayfield was unfailing and she continued to keep in touch with what was happening here from Oxford and latterly Harrogate. Her quick wit, intelligence and humour will be greatly missed. Please also remember her family and community in your prayers.
