The Mayfield School community is answering the call to support those affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Students, the Friends of Mayfield School and staff have joined together to raise much-needed funds. All donations are being given to the charity chosen by the School community, CAFOD, who work with partner charity, Caritas, helping directly within Ukraine.

Virgin of Kyiv,
Hear the cries of the people of Ukraine.
Bring comfort to those living in fear,
And bring healing to those suffering from the violence.
Convert the hearts of those who take up arms,
And protect those committed to peace.
Mother of God,
Inspire our leaders to work towards reconciliation
Grant them humility and a desire for peace,
Inspire the world with compassion for the people of Ukraine
And give us hope for a future of peace built on justice for all.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.
