Old Cornelian Caroline has worked as a volunteer with organisations in and around Mayfield village to rehome families fleeing the war in Ukraine (see our article on the 'Ukraine Response' tab here on OC CONNECT). Her efforts helped to make Wealden Council (which includes Mayfield, Crowborough and Uckfield) to be the most welcoming local authority in the country.

Earlier this month (Nov., 2022) spoke to Matt Chorley on Times Radio about what life is like for the families who are living in the UK. Listen to the podcast here.
