Mayfield’s Ski Team concluded an exhilarating week in Flaine with their strongest set of results to date at the British Schoolgirls’ Races 2026. Building on a year of hard work and determination, the team delivered performances that highlighted both their technical skill and their exceptional team spirit.
The final day of racing saw all six Mayfield skiers complete two clean slalom runs, a remarkable achievement that demonstrated their composure under pressure and their growing confidence on the competitive circuit. Their consistency and precision were clear reflections of the commitment they have shown throughout the season.
A particular highlight of the week came from Emilia (Year 10), whose outstanding form led to a series of personal triumphs. She secured gold in the Giant Slalom with a personal best time — a milestone that not only marked her continued development as an athlete but also stood out as one of the team’s finest results of the competition. Emilia went on to claim silver in the combined U16 competition, rounding off an exceptional week of racing and reinforcing her status as one of Mayfield’s rising stars on the slopes.
The 2026 British Schoolgirls’ Races will be remembered as a landmark moment for the team: a week defined by determination, progress, and well‑deserved success. Mayfield is immensely proud of every skier who competed and represented the School with such dedication, courage, and sportsmanship.
