Katie Clancy is more than just a dedicated teacher at Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena; she is also a proud alumna of the school, which adds a personal touch to her role in the community. As an Old Cornelian, Katie carries with her a sense of legacy and connection to the school's storied past. Her enthusiasm for education is only matched by her appreciation for the values instilled by our school's foundress, Cornelia Connelly. 

Recently, Katie had the opportunity to participate in a teacher exchange programme at Mayfield, an experience that allowed her to both share her insights as an educator and learn from her peers in a new context. This unique programme was more than just a professional development opportunity for Katie; it was also a chance to pay homage to Cornelia Connelly herself. During this time, Katie felt a profound sense of connection to the school’s heritage as she was able to visit the Chapel, where Cornelia Connelly is laid to rest. 

Katie was able to reflect on the significant impact that Cornelia’s vision continues to have on the education and personal development of young women today. With reverence and gratitude, she embraced the chance to honour Connelly's enduring legacy, thinking about the guiding principles of faith, education, and service that the foundress championed.
