As we bid farewell to our Year 13 students, the air was filled with a mix of emotions - a sense of accomplishment, nostalgia, and excitement for the new adventures that lie ahead. It's a bittersweet moment, indeed, as we reflect on the journey these students have taken with us.
Throughout their final week at school, our Year 13 students made sure to make it a memorable one. They let their creativity shine through with an array of imaginative and humorous outfits, dressing up as their favorite teachers, role models, and even people whose name starts with their own initials. The school corridors were filled with laughter and chatter as they showcased their unique personas, leaving everyone in awe of their talent and wit.
To cap off their time at school, we hosted a delightful barbecue to mark the start of their study leave. The sun shone down on us as we gathered together to celebrate their achievements and milestones. It was a perfect setting to relax and enjoy each other's company, surrounded by good food and great company.
As our 2024 Leavers embark on their future endeavors - whether it be university, work placements, or a gap year - we wish them all the best. We are confident that the skills they've acquired during their time at Mayfield will serve them well as they take on new challenges and pursue their passions. We are proud of the young adults they have become and are excited to see the incredible things they will achieve.
As they move forward, we hope they remember the lessons they've learned, the friendships they've formed, and the memories they've created here at our school. We will always be grateful for the time we had with them and look forward to staying in touch as they start this new chapter in their lives.
