The Mayfield careers evening had a revamp this year as we moved away from compulsory talks to a Careers Fair. With 38 stands representing a range of industries, students had an excellent opportunity to discuss their aspirations and talk about careers that they had not considered. It was also great to catch up with OCs Isobel Lowe (2017), Imogen Mellor (2016), Jennifer Graham (1999), Laura Hurel (2019), Amelia Hardy (2020), Emily Payne (2022), Didi Derodra (2022), Eleanor Hervieu (2017) and Cheryl Ke (2023) who really inspired students with their journeys after Mayfield. Years 7 to 9 had fun asking exhibitors questions to complete their quiz.
We were very privileged to have OC Georgina Worrall OBE (née Brodie, 1996) as the keynote speaker with her excellent talk, "Resilience While Navigating the Career Pathway", a message of perseverance, adaptability and purpose.
